Well, well, well

Today I am grateful for the pretty snow flurries. I am thankful for a walk with Scout in the brisk air and the view of the beautiful stars this evening. I am thankful for my oldest brother, Warren, who talked to for about thirty minutes this evening. I am thankful for an hour long episode of the office complete with the return of Holly.

Some interesting things about me:

1. I only look at a few websites besides my email and my bank account. But, I look at them nightly. I check out:
www.smittenkitchen.com
http://thepioneerwoman.com
www.thefacebook.com
www.people.com
http://nataliebruce.blogspot.com
www.cup-a.blogspot.com
If you are writing or blogging or posting, please let me know and I'll add it to my regular checked sites.

2. I made rice krispy treats covered in green and red sprinkles tonight. I don't know that it's all that interesting except that I don't like rice krispy treats. They are a waste of calories to me. I do rich, not sticky.

3. I like to incorporate the phrase "That's what she said" into conversation at least once a day. Of course, some times I'm so desperate to work it into conversation, that Jared will say, "that didn't even make sense."

4. I make up words to songs and then start to believe that those are the real lyrics. For example, Sugarland has this great song entitled 'Stuck like glue' with a lyric that reads "Two stuck together from the ATL out." For months, I sang "two stuck together from the FDA" until Jared noticed and asked "FDA as in the food and drug administration?" Oops. Thanks sweetheart.

5. My name used to be spelled 'Allison' until my mom changed it to 'Alison' when I was in kindergarden. Something about another little girl had the same name with the same spelling. I was in my oldest brother's wedding as a teenager and he spelled my name with two l's on the program. My mother also gave me two middle names-Elizabeth Anne. She also called me "Elle" for about a year out of the blue when I was a little girl. Everyone else called me by my real name, as in Alison with one l, thank you very much. Then, she quit and we never spoke of it again. It wasn't schizophrenia, it was my mother and her indecisive nature. Of course, now I'm officially Alison Downs Wilson and I fluctuate between Alison Downs or Alison Wilson depending on my memory.
