Just for today.

Today I am grateful for a nice walk with Scout in the brisk winter air after a long day of work. I am grateful to have witnessed the sunset. I am grateful to be able to walk and write and type and throw a ball and see and hear and smell. I am thankful for the flowers around the house from Jared. I am thankful for the scented candle burning in the kitchen. I am thankful for a working car. I am thankful for lasagna made last night and then just stuck in the oven tonight. I am grateful for a warm home. I am grateful to have a job. I am grateful for my new fleece pants and my old Birmingham-Southern sweatshirt. I am grateful that a new day comes each morning. I am grateful for the fact that the trashmen come and take away my trash. I am grateful for diet coke. I am grateful that I eat lunch with friends daily now instead of alone. I am grateful that there are many brightly burning stars in the middle of the night when I take Scout to the bathroom. I am thankful to own a home that is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I am thankful for a working dishwasher. I am thankful that I get to go on Jared's insurance in January. I am grateful for this time to sit on the coach and look at the tree and feel.
