Happy Halloween from the kid who went to bed at 7pm and did not trick or treat. Thankfully, his Aunt Jenny bought him this cute little shirt and pants because Jared and I did not feel like forking out the money for an outfit that he would wear, literally, just for a photograph. Jared and I turned off all the lights and thankfully, no one rang the doorbell and woke the little monster up. There will be more Halloween's to come filled with costumes, candy filled buckets, and past curfew turn in times.
Those two photos were taken one morning right before I left for work. I just admired the fact that my hair was actually done, my make-up is complete, and my shirt is clean. Today I enjoyed the day with peanut and had him in the Bjorn while I was pouring batter into muffin tins. The joy/problem is that Hunter now reaches for everything and as I was smoothly moving along, he reached for the bowl and upset batter everywhere. This happened right after I was feeding him and he kicked his foot and knocked pear puree everywhere and this was right before he sneezed and sent pear remnants all over my new Children's Hospital t-shirt. Somehow, I think it's only going to get worse. Did I mention that we've hired a housekeeper? Praise Mary, Jesus, and all things holy.
In terms of "getting worse," Hunter was on his playmate when I got in the shower and was at the door by the time I got out of the shower. I then stood there and watched the kid grab the door stopper and open the door. It wasn't a fast process, mind you, but it happened and Scout, who has been hired as the babysitter, just watched and then stepped over Hunter and helped herself to the hallway. Some help she was! Hunter adores Scout by the way. He beams at her and laughs when she barks and tries to pet her although she's learned to keep her distance from those uncoordinated hands. I'm sure Hunter will be allowed full petting privileges when he has cheerios to bargain with, but that's for another day.
