Jared and I like to stay just a step or two behind. We got iPhone 5s on Saturday! Woot woot. We do it this way as the phones are cheaper and the upgrade still feels exciting to us. Plus, I don't want the iPad parading around as a phone any way (hello, iPhone 6 plus). Didn't we used to make fun of Zack Morris for his huge telephone?
Jared and I have managed to hang on to our phones for a couple of years this time and I applaud the Otterbox case. My phone would not have made it without it as is obvious from the following photo. I mean, seriously, check out the damage done to this poor case. I have dropped that thing on concrete (hi Vanderbilt parking garage!) many a morning and lost whole pieces of the rubber and plastic protective casing somewhere along the way.
My new phone is sporting a pink and gray case from Pelican. We'll see how it compares with the Otterbox. We may find out very quickly actually as I nudged my phone off of my desk at work today and the floor of the office is a piece of heavy duty carpet over concrete.
I only work tomorrow and Friday. Thursday is an off day to play with Hunter, take food to a friend, and go to Christmas village with friends and family.
