blue is his color

Happy Thanksgiving! It's already been a lovely holiday and I'm delighted to have Saturday and Sunday left to enjoy. I totally dig the four day weekend.

Hunter is such an enjoyable little guy. He is generally happy and spends each day taking everything in. Mike, who just celebrated his 15th birthday, held Hunter for the first time yesterday and they become fast friends. Hunter was mesmerized by the mellow guitar music and tried to assist Mike with a few tunes.

Hunter also spent some time with Grammy. My mother is truly the baby whisperer. She can get the kid to sleep anywhere, any time. He was sacked out on her in the middle of a super noisy room with the football game blaring. A good nap makes for a happy baby as well as happy parents who got to enjoy their lunch in peace.

Even with a nap, it was a long day with lots of people and smells and noises. Hunter was pooped out last night, but had some trouble sleeping from the over-stimulation.

Today rang out bright and clear. Hunter, Scout, and I spent some playtime on the floor. Hunter discovered the wonder of the pacifier on his own. He's never been a paci kid, but I recently heard him sucking on something and quickly checked to see that he wasn't munching on something dangerous. Nope, he had found a pacifier amongst his toys and was enjoying it to pieces. I think it must feel good on those gums and even on the one little tooth poking out.

We took a walk today in the chilly late afternoon. Scout adores this weather, but Hunter and I had to bundle up.
