Oh my goodness, I've been hanging on by a thread. We arrived in Nashville last Sunday evening around 8:30pm and quickly unpacked, put Hunter to bed, and prepped for the week. Grandma came home with us for the week and has been loving on Hunter as well as making homemade lasagna fit for a hungry army! I took call one night, Mom joined us for dinner one night, I went to a doctor's appointment, attended a work dinner, and then Josh arrived for a long weekend visit starting on Thursday evening. The weekend rolled around and we went to a Halloween party and then mom and I took in a Broadway show.
I struggle with balance so often in life. I sometimes get bored and want more going on and then other times I over plan and end up worn out. I ate my feelings a bit this week as well and that didn't help. I have learned new and improved coping skills throughout the years, but sometimes still (intentionally and unintentionally) fall back to using food. The relief is immediate and the consequences are lingering.
Jared and I cleaned up the house this evening and went over the budget for November. I love doing these things. Makes life feel cleaner and more manageable. Plus, I'm calling around tomorrow to price a housekeeper. I cannot keep up with the housework. I'll gladly pay a bit for some sanity around clean toilets for guests!
