PhD

I am 37 weeks today! Here's a little picture and of course, Scout is part of the action. She's in almost every single one of my home maternity shots. Scout really is our first child!

Yesterday at work I noticed that my ankles were hurting. I looked down and gasp, kankles! Noooooooo! I've been told that my ankles aren't "that bad" but they look bad to me. I've lost the lean, bony little ankles that I've seen my entire life.

I'm supposed to be putting my feet up, but that's difficult at work and then I come home and the nesting instinct is so strong that it's hard to just chill out and relax. Last night I made Jared test out the baby monitors with me even though Hunter will sleep in a bassinet in our room for awhile. I just needed to know that the monitors were working.

All that's left for the weekend is to get carseat help from the fire department down the road because apparently only experienced mothers or people with a PhD in childcare can install these things properly. I've followed the directions and the carseat is still able to move six inches in each direction. I do not want Hunter to have a rollercoaster ride in my car on the way home from the hospital!
