I'm home. It's cold and rainy here. It was cold and rainy in Detroit. Maybe it's cold and rainy everywhere. I'm thinking my next stop is the Bahamas on my way to Tahiti and then Hawaii. I'm sensing a theme and there is certainly not a stop at work tomorrow morning on this vacation thought process of mine!
Detroit was actually my last flight before the birth of Hunter. I don't foresee any more travel during the next three months as my doctor cautions me to stay close to home after about 30 weeks.
Amy and I visited the Motown museum on Saturday. It is a little Detroit treasure as so many good musicians came from Detroit and recorded in Detroit. Here we are in front of Hitsville USA. My showchoir roots busted out of the seams and I was pulling a little move by the Temptations posted behind us. Please don't look too closely as I mixed up the arm motions.
As always, I ate delicious food in Detroit. Here's the pan of homemade cinnamon rolls that Amy had baking first thing Saturday morning. I ate almost the entire pan over the course of three days. I love homemade cinnamon rolls. We also had fresh salsa, Indian food, sweet potato fries, sweet-as-candy-pineapple, and cold diet cook to name a few delights.
Another good friend trip completed. I tried to make the rounds so now my friends will come see me, my new house, and my new baby in about three months!
