J: You peed in your pants?!
A: You've got to be kidding me.
And so the day started. I wrote on my white shirt with black ink. I wore a wool sweater over that white shirt on a 70+ degree day. I forgot to put my wedding ring on this morning. It's been a week to say the least. I trained a new family counselor on Monday and Tuesday. I had the intern in my trauma group on Wednesday and Thursday. I had three families present for the family program. I've got a couple of people wanting to leave against medical advice and I don't even have the time to care. I have to work on Saturday and I'm going to have a group of about 20 people. That's not group. That's babysitting and entertaining. In other news, our trash can disappeared and the neighborhood association is harassing us about the weeds in our yard.
However, I did have a cupcake from dreamcakes today. It was chocolate with peanut butter frosting that tasted like fudge. It was awesome. And Jared, Scout, and I had a wonderful walk while watching the setting sun turn the sky pink. I am grateful for those things that pull me back to my body and connect me with simplicity.
