LDMT and LWBABT

I love weekends. Love them. Jared and I went to bed on Friday night at 9:30pm. Yesterday I had the most glorious day to myself. I cleaned the house, did laundry, went to the grocery store, got a pedicure, made banana nut muffins, and took care of Scout. I felt like I had an actual child yesterday for the amount of time I spent taking care of her. I bathed her, walked her, took her to the vet, cleaned up her vomit off the rug, and enrolled her in obedience classes. Scout and I start classes on March 6 and we're committing to six weeks of one hour classes. I'm excited. I love school. On another note, here are a couple of conversations from the nail salon:

Lady doing my toenails: Are you in a pageant tonight?
A: No. Do you get many pageant girls?
LDMT: Yes, lots. There is an elementary school pageant tonight.
A: Oh. (Inside my head: Does she think I'm in elementary school?! What the hell? This is a totally new low for me. I've been accused of being 16, but 8? Yikes.)
LDMT: It's hot today.
A: I know! I can't believe how warm it is!
(Enter lady sitting next to me who relates everything back to her beach trips.)
Lady who brags about beach trips: Last year, when my husband and I went to the beach, we drove through the snow!
LDMT: Really?
LWBABT: Yes, it was snowing in Alabama and we risked our lives to get to Orange Beach.
A: (Inside my head: Risked your life meaning there were two snowflakes sighted in the Rocky Moutains.)
LWBABT: We're about to go to Orange Beach for Marti Gras. We go to the beach all the time...
A: (Mentally exits to happy place of massage chair and LDMT rubbing my feet.)

My toes are bright purple and awesome. Thank goodness for the weekend.
