As you can see in the photo below, Scout is really in the Halloween spirit.
NOT. My mom sent this little witch hat. It really is the cutest thing ever on Scout. It lights up and she just looks adorable in it.
She hates it. Every fiber of that hat and its little lights. I'm not holding out any hope that she will wear the hat while we have trick-or-treaters at the end of the month. No hope at all.

She just had one question though: Am I the good witch or the bad witch?
Obviously, the good witch. Look how cute she is.

Unfortunately, Scout had been limping last week. We took her to the vet who thinks she may have sprained something. So, she can't go walking for a week and she on an anti-inflammatory. Scout without a walk for one day is rough, a week is unbearable for her and us. Jared and I worked out today at the house. He was on the treadmill and I was on the spin bike. Scout was our cheerleader. She ran from one machine to the other. Tried to hop on the treadmill and got her nose bopped with the bike pedal. I don't know what she expected to happen. I'd been spinning for 30 minutes and the pedals were going round and round like normal and one time she just stuck her nose in for a closer smell. She learned to take one leeetle step back.

In other news, Melissa and I cooked yesterday. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it was delicious. We made a baked orzo pasta with peas, mushrooms, fontina cheese, fresh mozzarella cheese, and marsala wine. And then we made white cornmeal biscuits and topped those little buddies with homemade raspberry jam and peach butter. It was a pretty good food day to say the least. Thankfully, she took half of the leftovers, which are probably no longer leftovers. I mean, at least at my house.
When I was little my brothers would make me say "Jam on it!" before passing me the jar of homemade strawberry jam. They thought that was the funniest thing ever. Gotta love siblings.
