Check out the beautiful floors! Gorgeous. We love them. Be careful, though, the floors are very slippery right now. I busted yesterday. Complete wipe out. It's funny to watch Scout on the new floors. She's not sure about them. I can really hear her coming now from the "tick, tick, tick, tick" of her nails on the wood. She slips and slides around corners and I have to admit, I chuckle. I think I caught her laughing at me when I fell though so we're even.
It's fun to live in a neighborhood. On my evening walk with Scout, several people asked about our new floors. Nice to know that people are watching and notice when a big white van with no windows is parked outside and strange people are going in and out all day.
So, now on to decorating. We are really going to make this house our own. We've picked out three new rugs and we'll be getting some curtains for the living room. I have a list of projects. Tonight I cleaned out my closet as I was putting clothes back. We so have to take a trip to the Goodwill. I've got three bags full of clothes, an old TV, a microwave, a printer...it's time to purge this house. Of course, if you ask Jared, he'll tell you I always think it's time to purge the home of "unnecessaries." He's learned not to leave things just hanging around on the kitchen counter for very long. I have been known to throw items away. I'm a believer in "a place for everything and everything in its place" and if it doesn't have a place, we don't need it.
Well, off to bed. We're still sleeping on the mattress on the floor. It's kinda fun. Like really comfortable camping. We just haven't gotten the bed put back together. It's an intense project involving 96 screws, a screw driver, and a socket set.
