bumble bee

Everyone remembers the fateful fishing day from the previous post? Well, the last straw came when we walked back to the car. There was a dead hummingbird on the front of the car. Seriously. I love hummingbirds. It had already been a rough day and that was just it for me. Jared tried to make me feel better and the following was our conversation.
J: It was probably a mommy hummingbird with lots of babies.
A: Gasp. The babies are now motherless?!?!
J: No, no, it was probably just an aunt hummingbird.
A: JUST an aunt?! I'm just an aunt to five amazing nephews.
J: Forget that. It was probably a mean hummingbird, a murderer.
A: You're the murderer. You were driving the car when we hit the hummingbird.
J: Why don't we stuff the little hummingbird for you?
A: Ewww. Gross. So, I can remember its tragic death every day?
J: I'm not very good at this, am I?
A: No. Thanks though.

Ahh, marriage, love, and all those other sweet words about two people making it through life together.

In other news...I have a confession. I like television. I didn't watch much TV growing up. A little bit of full house and saved by the bell. But, I've discovered not one, not two, but several shows that I enjoy. The Office. Modern Family. Undercover boss. Parks and Recreation. Top Shot. Sister Wives. That's six shows that I'm enjoying at the moment. Thank goodness for directv so I can whip through commercials and save a few brain cells in this tragic, wonderful process.
