And we went...

to the Grand Ole Opry. At the Ryman Auditorium. I love being married to Jared if for no other reason than I do "Nashville" things that a Nashvillian like me forgets about. Like go to the Grand Ole Opry. And I love country music. And I love blue grass music.

One segment of the show was hosted by Little Jimmy Dickens. He's 89 years old and has been on the stage of the Opry for 62 years now. That's a heck of a long time. He is still funny and his outfits are awesome.

I love this music because the musicians are actually talented. Each group gets up on stage and performs. They can sing and man, can they play their instruments. There aren't any lights flashing or crazy costume changes or background dancers or boobies hanging out or computerized noise. It's just pure talent pouring all of the audience from the stage.

Below is Crystal Gayle. This lady can sing. However, please look closely at the picture. Do you see the tail-like thing? That's her hair. She has always been known for her hair which at the current time comes down to her ankles. Yes, her ankles. It is weird and gross. Thank goodness, she can sing.

The night wrapped up with Riders in the Sky. They sang Scout's favorite, 'Get along little doggies.' Cracks her up every time.

I like being from Nashville. I like the history. I like the people. And I like the Titans.
