Martha Stewart magazines never show anything real, especially related to the messiness of children. I have a beautiful front room with a grand piano and blue sideboard that I painted with my mother. It's now, since Hunter's arrival, also a playroom since every room in the house is a playroom.
Two of my nephews played with Hunter yesterday and they all had the best time with the new bowling pin set. Basically my nephews set up the pins and Hunter ran around knocking them down. I love seeing my very real, very messy life interspersed with my previous perfectionism. However, I will admit that since taking the photo yesterday, I have tidied up, so the perfectionism is still hanging around!
