So, he's adorable.
I have to admit that it was not an awesome day. I received the picture above when I was at work. Sweet Jackie was babysitting while Jared was helping Warren move some things into their new home. Jackie is wonderful with Hunter and has a fantastic ability to really focus in on what she's doing. He loves her to pieces and they had a great time playing dress up and doing tummy time. I almost cried when I got this picture because I wanted to be there with them. By the time I got home, Hunter was tired and fussy and I was tired and fussy. I just wanted all the hours in the day when he was excited to be awake and having a good time. I wanted to not feel exhausted and short-tempered. I wanted to feel grateful for the hours before bed. I wanted to be a great, patient mother. Instead, I was just a real mother. A mother who was feeling quite sorry for herself. Blah.
Tomorrow I'm off of work so that Jared and I can take Hunter to the doctor for his four month check up and immunizations. I'm grateful to have tomorrow off although we have many chores that need to be taken care of!
