We went to the farm on Sunday with some friends. I made sure to use ear protection on Hunter when our friends were shooting the .22 pistol. He looks like he's jamming out to some funky tune, but he was simply smiling at either me or his Aunt Jackie.
Hunter has started rolling over. He used to lay on a mat and gaze lovingly into my eyes and smile. Now, he wants to roll and thinks of nothing else. This was Tuesday morning. He rolled off the mat...
and then just kept on rolling. He made it from back to front, front to back, and then back to front again before getting tired at which point he just laid his head down and cried. It's game on around here, folks. He'll be driving before I know it. In fact, I think he's rolling to the car now.
I love to read to my baby and he seems to enjoy it as well. I'm getting lots of help lately in holding the book and turning the pages.
Hunter is a delight. I wish I was looking forward to the weekend, but I am on call. Boo, boo, boo. I hate being on call, especially weekend call. I've done one night call since returning to work and only had to deal with a couple of pages. I'm not looking forward to handling hospital issues on my precious weekend time with him when I'm trying to breastfeed, do bed time, and generally get a little down time.
