8 hours a day

I put my camera in my purse this morning so I could start working the daily photo(s) idea. I pulled the camera out first thing this morning and shot a few pictures of my office to give you an idea of my space at work. I spent a lot of time in this little square room. I spent an entire year in extended care prior to actually committing to it and decorating. Those were some boring walls prior to the pictures. Bradford doesn't "do" color at all, so it takes a bit of love to freshen up and brighten up.
This photo captures the view upon entering the office. I have a nice window over the desk.

And one next to the couch. Check out the cool piece of stained glass that my mom found for me. I love it.

These are two shelves on my bookcase and some of my favorite things. Top left is my favorite wedding photo. I paid three grand for a photographer and Karen captured that moment with a quick shot on her camera. Bottom left is a picture of the four Downs' nephews. I love that photo. These shelves capture sweet memories and thoughtful gifts...the mirror/frame was made by Amy, the quotation taped to the back top wall was given to me by Kelly, the flower was made at a birthday party for Melissa, some of the sea shells came from Teri. I have sweet, thoughtful friends. I love gifts like these.

This is a spot on the wall next to the bookcase. I have always looked a good collage.

Here are other spots of color on the wall. I love paintings.

I spend roughly 8 hours a day sleeping and roughly 8 hours a day in my office. I love my comfortable bed, made by my brother, and I have tried to make my office as pleasant as possible. I try to create beauty and comfort as I go. I'm feeling really grateful for the help of friends and family in these attempts.
