treats

Scout and I went to school last night. It's obedience class for doggies. Technically, it's really a class for me on how to train Scout. There were four dogs including Scout and Scouters was definitely nervous. She peaked out from between my legs and would not eat her treats. I repeat, she would not eat her treats and Scout lives and breathes for puperoni. She is definitely my dog in that she can't eat when she's nervous. I had trouble eating breakfast on each and every Monday morning in first grade and I have stomach issues each Monday morning to this day before entering staffing. Scout would smell the treat, put it in her mouth, and then spit it out. Thankfully, it was enough to keep her interested and she performed the commands as instructed. Scout and I have a play date coming soon with Laura and Hank. Laura is the person and Hank is the dog. Aren't we cute?!

Well, it's Wednesday and the parking lot was full at church again tonight. Another week gone by. I finished up another trauma group this week. It was a sweet group of four people. I've gotten to go to some really painful places with people lately. Sacred ground really. I've gotten goose bumps a few times and felt an ache in my stomach and chest for the pain of the world and the confusion and chaos in my own life.

It's off to bed for me. I'm tuckered out.
