Bag of veggies

I love what happened today. See, I live in a true neighborhood. Everyone waves to each other. I know most of my neighbors. It feels safe in my little house. Well, Scout introduced me to a neighbor lady named Sadhna. Jared and I were walking one day and Scout insisted on meeting the other lady on the sidewalk. Scout won the lady over with her little tail wagging goodness and Sadhna ended up joining us on our walk. She and I walk together at least once a week now. Anyway, we live about 10 houses apart. We met in the middle this afternoon and swapped gifts. She gave me some homemade Indian food and I gave her a bag of fresh squash and zucchini from my garden. How fun is that?!? It felt like a blessed thing.

I am so grateful that it is the weekend. I had nothing left to give on Thursday and Friday. I pulled through, but there were times when I just could hardly bear the thought of another session. I feel so privileged to be in these people's lives and an intimate part of their healing, but man, is it draining sometimes.
