I've picked up various sayings along the way. One of my current ones is "shut up!" to anything I think is funny or outrageous. I think I got this one from Melissa. Apparently, I use a lot of my dad's sayings as well because Jared refers to me as Nevin at times. My favorite one currently is "fruitin' around."
Alison and Jared on the way to his grandparents' house this evening:
J: What did you and Scout do this afternoon?
A: Oh, we were just fruitin' around.
J: Okay, Nevin.
Enter gorgeous azaleas everywhere in front of Granddaddy and Nana's house.
A: Shut up!
J: Some of those azaleas bushes are 50 years old.
A: Shut up!!!
