Cheers!

Whew, I'm pooped out. I just spend forever in the kitchen. I cut up watermelon and pineapple. I sliced up celery and carrots sticks. I made a pot of chicken and wild rice soup. I got lunches ready for tomorrow. And I've got a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls rising next to me. Yowza.

Speaking of watermelon, I just ate my first slice of the season sitting on the back patio. I covered the hot pink flesh in sea salt and went to town. It was awesome and poor Scout's little head is covered in juice. She kept standing under me trying to lick the juice off the ground.

In other food news, is it classy to have bright orange cheeto dust on my diamond wedding ring?Because I did. This afternoon. Right before the watermelon juice on Scout's head. Maybe I should play that song..."cause we're country and we like it that way." I'll add the next lyric..."cause there's cheeto dust on my diamond and watermelon juice on the doggie's fur and I like it that way."

I love this weather. I mean, gorgeous defined. It's warm in the sun, cool in the shade, bright, cheery, and the flowers are going crazy. The azaleas are blooming, the dogwood trees are going bananas, and the irises are out in full. Now I have a thing for irises. For some reason, I painted hundreds of irises while in treatment. I just couldn't stop. I loved them then and I love them now. They speak of healing and change and consistency all at the same thing.

Well, the battery on the computer is tired, so I must sign off.
