Two hundred and one.

My parents came to visit this weekend. My mom loves Scout and Scout loves my mom. However, Scout is also really attracted to anyone who doesn't pay that much attention to her. She sits at the feet of my father and gazes at him with little hearts shooting out of her eyes hoping to catch his eye and bend his heart. Dad doesn't dislike Scout, but he doesn't like her either. He does not touch animals and Scout, bless her heart, is an animal. Mom took the picture of Scout below. I think she looks like a little fox in the picture. Jared told me that I love Scout to death and my interactions with her remind him of the little girl in the cartoon who was always squeezing the animal so hard that its eyes bug out and it desperately seeks escape. That's probably about right. I love to scoop her up and hug her. She does not love this so much.

Mom and Dad drove home today, but stopped at my office on the way home. It was such fun to have them see the building and my beautiful cheery office. I may not always love my job, but I do love my office. It only took me one year to decorate it and decide that I was willing to invest in that space and more over, in that job. Dad and I are taking about something serious here. Very serious and very important.
