Life as I know it.

I have a new camera. It is a Canon elph. I chose this camera because it's tiny and well, really, just because it's blue. How cool is that? I love blue things and a 12.1 mega pixels blue camera is just swell. I've had my last camera since I was a junior in college. I seem to think that was just a few days ago, but no. That was six and a half years ago. That's senior year, a year off, two years of grad school, and two and a half years of Bradford. Holy cow and a half, time flies. I got my last camera before I spent the summer in Spain and it's been a delightful camera. I probably would never have gotten a new one until Jared pointed out that my camera had 5.1 mega pixels and new cameras have a few more of the little m-p's. Oh. Of course, I was the girl with the Zach Morris phone while everyone else was onto the new flip phone. It took me a while to realize that I could buy something new just because and not have to wait until the gynormous phone (or camera with the seriously limited m-p's) broke. Ah, the joy of buying just because. Because it's been six and a half years and I've worked at Bradford two and a half of those.

I snapped a few shots around the house and will be sure to take more pictures of moments in my home in my little life.

A few of my things. A clean blue pan that recently held mushroom, artichoke, and spinach lasagna with mozzarella, Parmesan, and feta cheeses. My Kermit green colander and my bright orange Le Creuset tea pot. All part of my food day.

The candy ready for tomorrow. Unfortunately, also part of my food day. Jared actually mentioned that we are eating this candy like Halloween is the only time that candy is sold. Funny, I rarely buy candy and I think I am somewhat anxious to get some before the kids do tomorrow night. But, yeah, reece cups are around all the time. It's actually the Easter candy that only comes once a year. Cadberry eggs, hello!?

Scout. Of course, Scout. She has gotten so big. *sniffle* Yes, there is a concrete block in my living room. Two actually. I'm going for truly modern decor. Kidding mother. No, we put a wooden board up during the day to keep Scout in the kitchen. We wedge the board between the wall and the concrete blocks. She got over the board on two occasions and hasn't gone for a third escape yet. I think she realized that once on the other side of the board, there is freedom to the living room, but no food, no water, and no toys. Bummer. Of course, I write that, but may come home one day next week to Scout reclining on the couch watching the Discovery Channel. She loves Shark week.

Is anyone else worn out? I am. I am so thankful for the weekend. I am thankful for hikes with Scout every day. I am thankful for a good husband, a warm home, and gas in the car. I am thankful for fall and for my resilient flowers. I am thankful to have the LCSW. I am thankful that all of my thank you notes from the wedding are written. I am thankful that Scout is my buddy.
