We gave Hunter a cupcake after Easter lunch to celebrate his first birthday. I have never really been into the "smash cake" thing, but agreed to it because it was the thing to do. I can definitely say that I am into the tradition now. It was adorable to watch Hunter have his own big cupcake that delighted him and brought laughter to an entire group of people. He didn't make a huge mess, but rather enjoyed about five or six bites and then threw the rest on the floor. He just felt like such big stuff sitting in his booster seat eating something that wasn't cut into a million pieces for him.
And taada! It's me. I am often behind the iphone camera and not in the picture, so I always appreciate that Jared's uncle snaps pictures of everyone.
