Jared and I are not sentimental when it comes to giving each other gifts and we are certainly not into giving Hunter any big gifts right now as he doesn't really play with his toys. He enjoys exploring regular household items. Jared fashioned him this go-go wagon out of an empty pampers box the other day. Although based on Hunter's facial expression and white-knuckle grip, it seems like Jared and I might be enjoying this homemade transport more than he is.
Hunter loves his bath and that is usually the last big activity before bed. He does get a bath daily because I have to scrub the food particles out of his hair and eyelashes from a long day of I'm-11-months-old-and-demand-that-I-feed-myself even if it's a ratio of one bite in the mouth per one bite somewhere else (which is actually a vaaaaast improvement).
Grandma bought him new hoodie towels. Again, the adults love this far more than the child.
In other news, it's a snow day today. It's been a nice day and I'm grateful for the time to get a few things ticked off the to-do list as well as spend time with Hunter. There are times during the week when I feel very disconnected with him because the mornings and evenings are so short.
