Happy Thanksgiving! Jared and I hosted 30 people today. I loved it! The house looked beautiful and there were people everywhere. The food was delicious.
We also did the gender reveal with the crew. We skyped in Jared's family in Birmingham.
The Nashville folks voted on girl vs. boy and only three people voted for girl.
Here's the cake....
Mom cut the cake
And there was blue! It's a boy!
We just do boys in our Nashville and Birmingham crews.
I love this picture! You can see the computer beside me with Jared's family listening in. Spencer, the boy on the top right of the photo was the first one with a glimpse of the color of the cake and shouted out "Boy? Boy. Boy! It's a boy!" It was a very fun moment with the family.
And for kicks, here's the turkey I made this morning with fruit, veggies, and cheese. I find him quite adorable.
My favorite Thanksgiving family tradition is the gratitudes time. Each person present lists at least two things that he/she is thankful for. It's beautiful, honest, and brief. What a lovely day.
