I come by the sniper shopping technique honestly. Most of you know what sniper shopping means in my world. I go into a store, glance around in less than five seconds, buy what I want, and leave. I don't linger, I don't browse, I get tired quickly and feel like I'm wading through mud if I'm in a store for over a few minutes. So, my father calls me on a Tuesday afternoon and asks if Jared and I have any vacation time. He asks all casual like. Sure, I say, what's up. Dad asks if he and Mom can take Jared and me on a Mediterranean cruise for two weeks in September. And, oh by the way, we need to figure it out quickly. As in, by the following Monday, Jared and I have both been approved for two consecutive weeks off of work, the plane tickets are purchased, cabins have been reserved on the ship, and I've submitted the paperwork for a new passport. That's six days to go from creation of idea to completed and booked travel itinerary. Rock it.
So yes, Jared and I will be trotting off to Europe with my parents come September. We get to visit Italy, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. I cannot wait. I love to cruise and I love Europe.
In other news, Brad, Jennifer, and the boys have moved into their new home on the lake. I'm not gonna lie, I'm so glad to be the sister of a rich doctor. The house is a mansion with an infinity pool looking over the lake. Work on, brother, work on. Also, Warren, Jackie, and the boys are moving to Nashville this summer. My entire family will be within a three hour drive. Makes me feel just warm and fuzzy inside.
I'm glad it's Thursday. I could stand for it to be Friday, but I hate to wish away my days. Jared and I have had the most lovely week of coming home, walking Scout, eating fresh summer food, doing chores, and watching our shows. I love this week of normalcy.
