red

We have new rugs! I'll post photos soon. Very soon actually since Scout seems to have a personal vendetta against the new rugs. Last night Jared and I moved the furniture in the living room and rolled out the beautiful, clean new rug. Scout promptly ran to the middle of the rug and peed on it! She got a spanking from Jared and me. I couldn't believe it. This dog is housebroken and I thought males were the only ones who mark their territory. Apparently not. Thankfully, I got the pee up quickly. All the while Scout tried to come sit beside me and apologize. I was not up for an apology right away. She had to wait a little while. Then, this morning around 5:30am, I hear Scout hacking. She only hacks that way prior to vomiting. I lept out of bed and shoved her off of the beautiful, clean new rug in the bedroom and onto the hardwood floor just a millisecond before she puked. Thank goodness for the hacking and thank goodness my sick puppy didn't get hurt in the desperate shove. One point for Scout, one point for me. I can only guess how much fun children will be one day.

After work today, I got a manicure and pedicure. That was after I whipped through McDonalds and got an ice cream cone. I love the $1.30 vanilla cone from McDonalds. Love it. Anyway, so I got my digits done. I don't know why I even bothered with my fingernails. I haven't had a manicure since my wedding. Something just came over me and I went for it. I've already messed up four of the nails and was promptly reminded why I don't get manicures. I have better luck with the pedicures and I love those massage chairs.

Did you know that Starburst sells packs of just the good red flavor? I'm always learning new things from my patients and this was a definite keeper. I discovered this Halloween that I love Starburst! Apparently, I really love most foods (and candies) and just wouldn't allow myself to opportunity to find this out when I was sick.

I start a new round of the women's trauma group tomorrow. I'm excited, but nervous again. I've got 5 in the group this week and it's time to establish rapport and help them trust me.

Make that five nails. Apparently, I'm a pretty aggressive typist. Another bites the dust.
