Smooth Criminal

So, I have a kankle toe. See, what happened was, I got bite by a fire ant on Friday night. Or multiple fire ants. There are three bites on the middle toe of my left foot. By Saturday afternoon, my toe was three times it's normal size. It hurts like crazy. But seriously, there are only so many complaints one can make about toe pain. The sympathy runs out very quickly from a certain man and a certain little puppy. So, please feel sorry for my enormous kankle toe that is bothering the bordering toes.

In other news, I borrowed Michael Jackson's greatest hits from my coworker and downloaded the CD to my computer. I've been keeping the laptop in the kitchen just so I can jam out to Smooth Criminal while I cook. I was moonwalking by the stove top the other night. Scout was giving my the cocked-head-what-are-you-doing-puppy-look as I danced by. Unfortunately, I tripped right as Jared entered the room and with arms flailing, realized that I am not Michael Jackson, at least not while anyone else is watching. How disappointing.

Okay, so I was desperate for summer back in April, but now it's time to bring on fall weather. I don't have a single cold recipe left the fix and am ready for football games, sweaters, chili and cornbread, changing leaves, and sitting on a porch swing in the chill of the evening.

Does anyone else keep waiting for summer vacation or fall break or Christmas holidays? One thing I still cannot get used to is the never-endingness of work. School has bookends such as semesters and final exams and this break and that. Now, it's just the weekend and then back to another week. Hmphf. That's what I think about that.
