Jared, Jason, and I went fishing today with Captain Jack and Deckhand Debbie. In this incredible action shot, both Jared and Jason have fish on the line and Deckhand Debbie is making sure things run smoothly. Captain Jack is guiding us safely around the ocean and I am jumping up and down cheering for the fish on the line, the dolphin swimming around near us, and the multitude of butterflies migrating south. It was a beautiful day.

The only problem with this type of fishing is the weight of the fish. I set the hook on this bad boy and then handed the rod over to Jared to do the rest of the work. I wasn't getting any where. I was trying to reel the fish in and he was just singin' the line on out to sea.

As I write, this fish is cooking up on the grill in a foil packet with butter, seasoning, tomatoes, and onion. Sucks for him, great for me.

This little guy was my prize. I was able to pull this baby in by myself and able to keep him because his head snapped back. He's technically too small to keep, but there was no reason to throw back an already dead guy. So, in a strange way, life is good. Just like my shirt and my hat say. They just forgot to mention the poor fishies.
