Today I went to visit this beautiful little girl, Alexa Joy. She's cute and has a great lung capacity and the loudest burp I have ever heard from such a small being. I can't lie, I think it's a little bit funny when babies suddenly lose neck control and give themselves whiplash. Mothers, please know that I carefully hold your babies, but occasionally the neck does get loose for just a second. I do wish I could cry like Alexa when I get mad about something. She doesn't hold anything back. And, she gets to sleep any time. People actually encourage her, beg her, plead with her to take naps-in the middle of the day! Yet, at my job sleeping during work hours is a terminal offense. Jeez. Can we just get some consistency?

And then, on the way home...this happened. Exciting to say the least. I'm glad to be okay. A piece of shredded tire from an 18-wheeler flew up from under the car in front of me and nailed my windshield. There goes my overtime pay. :(
