Fall activities

Life is full. When I left my full-time position, I was worried that I wouldn't know what to do with Hunter and we would sit around the house being bored. This is certainly not the case. There are so many things to do with a toddler because he loves doing everything and anything. He wants to put his shoes on first thing in the morning because that means that we are headed either outside or on an adventure. In fact, I've been home full-time for about six weeks now and we haven't even made it to the library and we've only been to the zoo once. We missed apple picking, but did make it to the pumpkin patch. Hunter didn't care much about the pumpkins at the time and was solely focused on the wagons. However, we did bring home four small pumpkins which he has arranged over and over and moved all around the house.

As you can see, wagons are a favorite. He doesn't want to ride though as that is much too sedentary.

We've also hit up the local chic-fil-a for playtime and a shared ice cream cone.
Not a bad afternoon for $1.35.

This is Hunter on a recent "play date" with a new friend from MOPS although 18 month-olds don't really play together. Hunter did hug his friend and then they ran around in opposite directions.

My mom and I took Hunter to Cheekwood to check out the fall decorations and more importantly, play in the creek. It was freezing cold water, but Hunter didn't care a bit.

Hunter took a play break during a nice morning walk with Jackie. He dried off the slide with his pants and then fell in the sand creating quite the look.

We went to Birmingham this past weekend and had a lovely weekend in the fall weather. Connor was released from the hospital on Sunday after his cancer treatment and he and Hunter tore up the backyard running around chasing each other. They also rode around in the little battery-operated car.

As I mentioned above, I am a stay-at-home mother now. I am working PRN in the social work department and filling in as needed. I try to get about one shift a week and I'm usually delighted to head out the door to earn some money and use my social work skills. The rest of the time is spent with Hunter and we have a big time together. I love being with him and not feeling stressed out all the time!
