Ryan and I like to cook breakfast together. We always make pancakes and eggs. We mixed it up a little bit this past Sunday morning and made fried eggs instead of scrambled and round, brightly colored pancakes instead of normal colored, variety shaped pancakes. We simply added food coloring to the batter and ended up with pancakes that looked quite similar to playdough. I wouldn't advise doing this with very young children as I can only imagine the confusion that this meal would cause.
I would totally advise doing this with your 11 year old nephew though.
We did yellow, purple, blue, green, and red pancakes. We thought this stack looked like a playdough hamburger.
Ryan is learning the art of pancake flipping which sometimes goes well and other times not.
This purple pancake was a struggle.
All in all, it was a good Sunday with our family. Jared is best friends with Warren and I'm best friends with Jackie, Ryan, and Mike.
It works out nicely.
