Hello and thank you for reading! This is the 400th post on the Fun Shoe Fridays blog.
I had day two of orientation today. I woke up this morning and was quite disappointed to discover that I had to get up again and head off to work. Thank goodness it was just one month off. I was already way too comfortable with the whole my-day-my-way thing. However, I think I'm already getting more done each day as the hours don't disappear into the black hole of too much time on my hands.
I am thankful for the woman who got out of her car at the same time as I did yesterday morning and asked if she was in the right place. Frankly, I wasn't sure either, but knew that she must be in orientation as well. We've spent the last two days together and added another two women to the posse quickly. It was a blessing to show up this morning and have three bright faces looking for me with a seat saved. And there is nothing like having people to eat with on the first days of work. I leave them tomorrow as they are all nurses and I head into social work training.
I've made it a point to be very involved in Nashville life. Working at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital is a big ole checkmark. I am proud.
