I need a vacation to recover from my vacation! Skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho was awesome. This was the view from our condo. We arrived at the "condo" on Friday afternoon. We paid for a four bedroom condo and ended up in a 6 bedroom house that was enormous, gorgeous, and private. We could see the mountains from the living room, kitchen, and hot tub.

The sky let go of 10 inches of fresh powder on Friday night and we set out to ski on Saturday morning. Jared and I skied for 7 days. That's a good bit of skiing in one vacation. Sun Valley is a great mountain. It's a big mountain with lots of terrain. Plus, there was no one on the mountain, there was fresh snow on a regular basis, and I rented great equipment and felt better on the bumps and jumps than I have in years. Jared skied really well and I'm now struggling to keep up with my nephews. I loved the change from indoor/office all day to outdoor/exercise all day. My thighs are still sore from the vertical.
Here's a few pictures of the crew skiing.

My parents didn't ski. I can't imagine how tough it must be to go through their current stage in life. Jackie did ski, but I don't have a single picture of her. That's pretty typical for her though. She takes all of the pictures and never has documented evidence that she was ever on any trip.

Drinking orange soda makes me think of the hot tub. We always have sodas in the hot tub after a good day of skiing.

And, on to the food portion of the trip. I don't think I've ever eaten so much junk in my life. We had dessert at least twice a day and fried food at least once. Below, Jared and I are standing in front of the Kneadery where we all had breakfast.
