I was just lukewarm on holidays until we bought our house. And now, I love holidays! I love the decorating. We put up our Christmas tree on Saturday night and boy, did we pick out a fat tree! Mom sent a bunch of my childhood ornaments and the tree is just covered up with beautiful, sparkly goodness.

Scout does not like Halloween. Something about that witch hat I made her keep putting on and the doorbell ringing constantly and the children dressed up in weird costumes. But, she loves Christmas. In particular, she likes the Christmas tree. She is usually always right with me wherever I am in the house. Not since Saturday night. Now, she likes to rest under the Christmas tree. Grab a drink from the Christmas tree stand. Get covered in sparkly silver glitter from the tree skirt. She is just all about the holiday spirit.
So, I promised pictures of the new rugs. Walaa! The rug in the living room.

And, the rug in the bedroom. We do not have the normal bedroom setup with the bed in the center of the room. Jared doesn't care about much in the house, but he does care about the setup of the bedroom. We have the bed against the wall so the room is open and we can walk easily around the room. (I think it's really that he likes to play with Scout in the bedroom and this leaves plenty of room for tug of war and chase.)
