the joy

Ah, the joy of absolute vacation. I am indulging in every minute of this wonderful, paid week off of work. So far, we've skied on Sunday, skied on Monday, relaxed in the hot tub, played games, read Calvin and Hobbes, did indoor sky diving, sledded for hours, exchanged Christmas presents, ate yummy food, drank hot tea, reminisced about funny past times and old stories, and laughed. It's been good family time with the 12 of us. That's right: mom, dad, Warren, Jackie, Ryan, Mike, Brandon, Jennifer, Hayden, William, Jared and me. I love having my husband on this trip. It's so much fun. Plus, I've been upgraded to a bed instead of the couch or floor or closet. Marriage has its perks! Seriously though, I love watching my family enjoy getting to really know Jared and him enjoying them. Right now, Jared is at the grocery store with mom and Jennifer. He just wanted to go with them for the party. And the nephews are all over me. I love it. Every minute of the togetherness time.
