All in a day

Do you ever have one of those days? Yesterday, Jared pulled his brand new smart wool sweater out of the what? You guessed it. Out of the dryer. It's now a sweater for a polly pocket. We did have a fun time trying it on though and parading around in the midriff baring brown piece of wool. Next, it was the W2 form that Scout got to while I was in the shower. Thankfully, she only tore it into four pieces (quite unlike her) and I was able to scotch tape the form back together. Of course, she didn't grab any of the other papers like worthless bank statements or one of the million marriage certificate copies. Nope, just the W2. That's my girl. I had hoped to go back to HR and ask for another form stating that my dog ate it. I never claimed that excuse with homework and I'd love to try the oldest trick in the book. Then, came the vacuum cleaner that, for some reason, started to spit out the dirt instead of suck the dirt in. Of course, it did this right by the kitchen floor that I had just swept. What is there to do but laugh (and then hire a maid in my dreams)? Finally, Brigid came over for a sleepover. We carefully cut out heart shaped sugar cookies to decorate. As they baked, each and every cookie melted into the other. We ended up with several Mickey Mouse-like blobs. All in all, a good day. I loved every minute of it.
