Take me out to the ballgame

Happy Fourth of July it was. Jared and I exercised our rights, freedoms, and traditions as Americans. We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel and then headed to Atlanta where I experienced my first ever Braves baseball game. It was wonderful. We had perfect, shady seats with nice neighbors. I got to do the tomahawk chop. I enjoyed an all beef hot dog with tons of ketchup and then a cup of soft serve swirl ice cream. I always wanted to get ice cream in one of those little baseball hat cups. Unfortunately, adult reason won out when I thought ahead to having to spend an extra $1.50 on a little plastic hat that I would then have to carry around and figure out what to do with once I got home.

I took this picture of the jumbotran. I love watching people realize that they are being taped and are on the screen. I love the moment of realization and the freak out that ensues.

After the game we got to watch the most beautiful fireworks display ever. It brought tears to my eyes. I don't know. Maybe it's the ensuing wedding on top of being an adult and feeling so blessed as an American and proud and thankful and everything in between.
