I hate the end of fun times. The weekend was just wonderful. Hayden and William arrived on our doorstep on Friday evening ready to party. We decorated Easter eggs, had several Easter egg hunts, played with legos, and most importantly, played with the Wii. Brad and Jen got a Wii for Jared and me. We had so much fun with that thing! My Wii fit age is 62 so I have a little room for improvement. The kids have a built-in wiring system for video games and beat the adults nine times out of ten. At one point, I swung my arm back for bowling and punched Hayden in the nose. He cried until it was his turn to bowl and then he was suddenly okay again. I learned to look behind me when swinging and we backed the couch way back so onlookers would have a small degree of safety. Oh, and those arm bands are really worth using. William's remote went flying into the wall at one point. Thankfully, it was just the wall and not the TV or the fun might have quickly ended. Poor William went to bed sobbing on Saturday night because he didn't find it fair that the adults got to stay up and play tennis while the kids went to bed. I feel ya, William. Life is so not fair. I miss my little buddies.
Then, Natalie and Adrian arrived. We had a lovely dinner and then played, what? Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. Again, awesome. I love that game, even if I am terrible. I did not grow up playing video games and apparently, everyone else did. But, I see improvement and totally dig the underwater world.
Now, to work I go. Lame.
