Commonality

Kids are just incredible. They remove barriers. They bring people together. They make people laugh and smile and wave. I love little kids and their amazing power for healing and living in the moment. I was in the drive through line at the bank yesterday and I felt little eye balls on me. I looked over and there was the cutest little girl just a-starin' at me. I gave her a little wave and she waved back and gave me a gummy little grin. And then it occurred to me. I don't think I've ever in my life just waved to a complete stranger in the drive through line at the bank. But, at 2 years of age, she was able to get me out of myself and interacting with others. She offered a kind response as a complete stranger. I wish we were all more like kids. It would do this world a lot of good.
