So, Hayden called me today and said, "Aunt Alison, will you please take William and me to the Titans vs. Jets or Titans vs. Dolphins game tomorrow?" Of course, my child. He could literally ask me for anything. (I think he knows it too.) So, Jared and I are taking William and Hayden to the Titans game tomorrow. I am so excited. It is going to be cold, but we have great seats and apparently the boys can make it through the entire thing if they get a treat about once a quarter. About like me actually.
I am at my parents' home in Nashville. Dad and Jared are watching football and I'm curled up by Jared in front of the fire. Not a bad way to spend a cold December Saturday night.
Work has been taxing lately. I still just have so much to learn and many boundaries to set. I've found that if I offer my time to families, they will take it. Every minute plus. So, I am having to set boundaries with my time and energy. I need families to mold their schedules to my availability, not the other way around. I'm coming home way too tired at night and having small come aparts.
In other exciting news, I have a spin bike in my apartment! Jared's mom had one she wasn't using and it is now tucked in my apartment where I can spin away while watching TV. I love it.
Merry Christmas.

I like calling them "come aparts". It has a different feel than "melt downs". I'll be using that in the future, fo sho.
