I love to watch Hunter develop relationships with those around him. He is having more and more fun in Birmingham as he gets to know Jared's side of the family. He adores Grandma, chases after Pop, and wants to be part of whatever Connor and Carly are doing. Connor and Hunter were snuggled in Grandma's lap for about one second and I missed it before Hunter bailed.
I just adore this picture with Hunter's little hand on Connor's waist. He was peeking over the bench at Connor's new Mousetrap game and wanting to participate. I love that children don't wonder if they are wanted. Hunter just shows up ready to party.
Hunter played with his cousin, William, on Sunday night. William knew that Hunter would love to play with his long board and knew to put it on the carpet where it wouldn't roll. Hunter felt very big standing on it with William.
The board isn't moving, but balancing still requires effort. Look at those arms. I'm amazed at how much Hunter just figures out and how much his body just instinctively helps him.
This little boy has already had two professional haircuts and a couple of quickie cuts by Grandma and me. His hair grows so fast and is currently in a bit of a bowl cut. Awesome. Welcome back, 1985.
Tomorrow is my 33rd birthday. Somehow, thirty-three seems like a let-down year. Thirty-two has a good ring. Thirty-three has a blahness to it. Like, woah, I'm more than a decade older than a college graduate. Where did the time go?
However, the loot of this birthday has been good. I've been blessed with a family membership to both the zoo and the YMCA. And I signed up for the Ben and Jerry's newsletter and therefore, get a free scoop on my birthday. So, that's awesome. I hope I get a generous scooper!
