booty up

Gone are the days of returning to a spot and finding Hunter still there. He is a wiggly worm who is on the move. He's crawling and has stood up in his crib on one occasion now. He has lots of toys, but prefers to pull magazines off the table one by one, press buttons on the remote until the system shuts down, play splash pad in Scout's water bowl, and knock Christmas ornaments off of the tree.

Feeding him is becoming an affair as I strip him down to the diaper to save the clothing and then shovel  as many spoonfuls into his mouth as I can before he decides to "help" me. That high chair is nothing if not disgusting with all the crevices that capture food particles.

He's all in this kid. He's all into moving when awake and all into sleeping in his funny little position when it's time to rest. Seriously, he was laughing/crying at 6:42pm tonight. It was that "I'm on the verge of a meltdown, but my Dad is still funny so I'm trying to laugh, but I'm just so tired." The kid is certainly in a 6:30-7pm nighttime routine.

Jared and I went on a date on Saturday afternoon. We went to lunch and then to the grocery store. It was such fun, but seriously? The grocery store on a date? Life has changed, that's all I can say.
I honestly could have gone just about anywhere on that date as I was just so tickled to be out and about with my husband sans child and diaper bag.
