an honest story

I went to see Michelle in lovely California where each day was sunny, bright, and warm. There is no humidity so the crackers stayed crispy and the towels actually dried before the next shower. It's no wonder that so many people want to crowd into that long, skinny state and bask in the great weather.

Michelle and I met in 10th grade. Our lockers were right next to each other and I was crying over something. I don't remember what was upsetting me, but then again so many things are upsetting in junior high/high school that it's hard to keep track. We began a long friendship that has seen many seasons and changes.

We made and ate delicious foods. The farmer's market offered up brightly colored tomatoes and basil to pair with fresh mozzarella cheese. We made smitten kitchen's butternut squash gallette from the recent cookbook. We went out for brunch twice and I was in fresh scrambled egg, french fry heaven.

I appreciate different things about each friendship in my life. What I appreciate about Michelle is her intentional living in that she knows her passions and pursues them. She inspires me to tell an honest story that is uniquely my own. She laughs often and speaks the hard truths in a kind way.
I think she's tops basically.

Oh, and I got my hair done in Cali and love it. Surfer girl blonde, thank you very much.
