Ah, the weekend. Comes so slowly and leaves so quickly.
Over Christmas I gave my Dad a Route 66 belt buckle from Arizona.
On Saturday night we went to hear Asleep at the Wheel. They sang "Route 66" and Dad loved every second of it. We may have even danced a bit in the aisle during the encore.

The next event was church on Easter Sunday. The funny part was that we left our carefully picked out hanging clothes on our closet door in Birmingham. So, here we are in my parents' clothing. My dress was safety pinned in the back and Jared's sport coat sleeves were rolled under. Scout wore the collar that she brought from home, but she tried to get in the picture. Thank goodness she didn't forget her Easter outfit!

Next was the Easter egg hunt. See what happened was, I bought a bunch of treats and then realized that the treats didn't fit in the plastic eggs. How would a 6 pack of peeps fit in one little egg, Alison? Well, I ended up putting post it notes in the eggs and each note listed the name of a treat. They then brought the post it notes to the treat table and redeemed each for the appropriate treat. It ended up being great and made the party last longer. Thank goodness for the fun of mistakes.

The weekend was beautiful and I enjoyed being in Nashville for the weekend.
