People keep asking me how things are going at the new job. My response is always, "My office has two windows!" Other than that, I'm not really sure yet. I am very pleased with the windows though. For the past two days I've enjoyed the company of two ladybugs, Laney and Lucy, in their adventures from one side of a window to the other. They say hi by occasionally fluttering a wing or two. There doesn't seem to be much of a plan for me and I'm just kind of showing up at different events and sitting in, asking lots of questions, begging for a computer and access to my voicemail, things of this nature. I tried to eat lunch with the group today and had a mini internal meltdown when suddenly surrounded by french fries, ice cream, and melty bowls of peanut butter. So, I ate my lean cuisine, veggie sticks, and peach and headed back to my comfortable office (have I mentioned that it has two windows!). I took my ball and went home...reminiscent of days gone by. There is just nothing quite like the start of a new job.
